Part Description: The lint filter catches fibers that are agitated from clothing when they're tumbled in the dryer.
Failure Symptoms: Lint screen or frame damaged or ripped.
Testing: Check lint filter / screen for damage.
Bonus Tip: Prevent air flow obstructions and lint fires by cleaning your lint filter 1-2 times per year. Residue from dryer sheets and fabric softener can build up over time, restricting air flow through the lint filter screen. Test your screen by pouring water on your lint filter screen. If the water pools up instead of flowing through the screen, wash the screen in warm, soapy water. Rinse, retest and repeat until the water flows through.

Great fit, great price
It's been a few weeks this new lint trap filter is holding up great and the price was about 1/2 of what the other parts places were charging. Delivery was a little steep, but it was fast and still ended up saving about 10-15 bucks.

Lint screen filter
Not exactly the same as original, seems not quite as deep and doesn't "snap" into place, I'm persnickety; hence 4 stars Having said that, it does seem to filter lint. Ordering was easy & was shipped very fast; great service. I highly recommend!
