Part Description: The Thermal fuse is a safety fuse that blows in order to cut off power if the dryer overheats.
Failure Symptoms: Dryer won't start; Dryer won't heat.
Testing: Use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If there is no continuity it should be replaced.
Bonus Tip: A blown thermal fuse indicates a restriction in the exhaust vent that runs from the dryer to the outside. Be sure to check the dryer venting whenever you need to replace the thermal fuse. Also check for build up on your lint filter screen. Residue from dryer sheets and fabric softener can build up on lint screens and restrict air flow.

I was skeptical about a replacement part when there was no contact phone number listed
I received a new element assembly and after two days of operation one of the thermostat stopped working. I looked on the Thrifty website and for the contact number there was none but a pop up for sending an email in to order request a replacement part. I figured it would be days before I heard from anyone. However, after a couple of hours I was contacted by Thrifty to get more information on the replacement part. By the next day the part was on order and shipped, at no charge!! I received the part 3 days later and it was installed and working great. Great customer service.
