The motor coupling connects the motor to the transmission. It is designed to fail If the washer is overloaded, in order to protect the motor and transmission. It may fail due to natural "wear and tear" over time.

Failure Symptoms: The unit will fill the tub with water, but will not agitate or spin before draining the water.

How to Test: Check the motor coupling for damage or breakage.

I ordered this washing machine motor coupler part to replace the broken and worn part in my 12 year old machine. Very easy to order this part online and price was very right. Local part store wanted 15x this price. Part was delivered USPS in 4 days, including the Holiday. Installed the coupler in minutes and machine is back up and running like before. Great experience with Thrifty and will definitely use them in the future, but hopefully I won't need to!

These are better than average and the price is right. They are a little stronger than what you would normally get on EBay but not as strong as the FSP Whirlpool part.
